There's a lot of snake oil out there, but it still stands that exercise is a non-negotiable.
A life without exercise is a life of deteriorating health, of bodily pain, a burdened family, and a shortened lifespan.
That “goal” weight you have in your head seems less and less plausible.
As far back as the 1930s, the founders of modern fitness were preaching the infallible truths of staying fit. Among them:
• Go easy on the processed foods
• Eat your vegetables
• Don't be a couch potato!
If only such advice were easily followed. Yet here we are, trying to break the rules and still be healthy!
Science has taught us much about the world of fitness since, but these general tenets still stand, and always will.
It's true: No amount of fluff or advertising will change the way the human body works.
